About Susan Solomon

Susan Solomon is an atmospheric chemistry professor at MIT and author of the book Solvable: How We Healed the Earth, and How We Can Do It Againpublished in June 2024. Solomon is well-known for her pioneering work on the Antarctic ozone layer and played a crucial role in repairing the ozone hole. She is founding director of the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative, and she co-led the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group I which won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. MIT Interview with Susan Solomon
